Nepalese Cricket Team Coach: Pubudu Dassanayake

Pubudu Dassanayake might not be a revered name in the Srilankan Cricket History, but for Nepalese Cricket history, he is someone whose contributions are beyond commendable. He got one’s ducks in a row to take Nepalese cricket team’s performance to a great feat with three titles and a maiden appearance in the T20 World Cup in 2014. He has the same set of players with a few additions before he joined as a coach, but his work has elated the team and transformed the player to challenge the elites today.

The Nepalese Cricket team also boasts on some of the finest records in international cricket history today. In 2006 ACC trophy, Nepal bowled out Myanmar for just 10 runs off 12.1 over and chased the target in 2 balls.

Mehboob Alam holds the record to take all 10 wickets in an ICC international cricket match with limited overs, while he also has the best ODI economy of 10/12 (7.5 ov).

Nepal’s bowling in the 2014 ICC World T20 is what no other teams have ever achieved. Having played three matches and won two in the competition despite not progressing further after the first round, Nepal did not bowl a single wide or a no ball throughout.
